Permanent courses have fixed 'controls', usually on posts, or attached to fences or buildings, but those listed here also have MapRun courses set up for them, so you can use the app to record your visit, and compare how you got on with others who have had a go at the MapRun versions of the courses.
You can down load the courses from the UK/Gloucestershire/Permanent Courses folder, selecting the relevant course folder for the individual courses available for that permanent courses.
Permanent Courses
Permanent courses have fixed infrastucture showing the location of each control. Otherwise, these courses are just like normal MapRun courses; it's just that there will be a post or other control marker at each location to confirm you have arrived at the right spot.You can find more information about these courses using the links below:
- Information and Maps: Information about the area, where to park, and links to the course maps to download
- Leader Board: The current scores for all runners who have completed this course
- Tracks: See where other runners went, and see if you can work out a better route
- MapRun Link: If you are viewing this page on your phone, and you have MapRun6 installed, clicking this link should allow you to download the course directly to your phone, and set it up ready to run.
