Berry Hill event – results up

Published by Tom Cochrane on

Thanks to Richard Cronin for organising tonight’s event in Berry Hill. Lots of people came along and enjoyed the courses, through the streets of Berry Hill, the nearby forest, and some footpaths through the fields and golf courses. I hear one of the paths was quite muddy but missed that one myself!

Results and routes are available to view.

If you enjoy our mapruns, come along next Wednesday, 12 June to our Urban Orienteering event in Dursley. These events are similar; the main differences are:

  • The courses are ‘linear’ rather than ‘score’: i.e. there’s a set list of checkpoints that must be visited in order, rather than visiting as many as possible in an hour.
  • We use an electronic ‘dibber’ (rather than a smartphone app) to record visits to checkpoints. There’s a ‘box’ at each checkpoint that records your visit.
