League Standings

These are the current standings for the 18-19 Winter Series league. There are three separate scoring systems:

  • Points score. This is based on the average of the top 25% being worth 1000 and then your points value scaled accordingly.
  • Handicap score. Your handicap is based on a variant of the Western Night League handicap system – essentially a dampened moving average of the last 6 events, with a minumum handicap of 200, but without any of the random extra factors WNL uses (“new” factor, scaling according to how good you are, etc). Where possible we have used the summer series to get a baseline for people’s handicaps.
  • Efficiency score. This total points divided by total distance, in points per km, and it is a measure of how good you are at choosing the most productive route!
