This is a mixed urban/rural course: two thirds of the checkpoints are spread around the streets of Churchdown village, with the remaining checkpoints located on footpaths up and around Churchdown Hill.

Parking is in Chapel Hay car park, in the centre of Churchdown.

The start and finish are at the north corner of the car park.

We are recruiting planners for the second half year MapRun League. You don't need to be an expert, nor even a MapRunner, though it helps if you have some idea what MapRuns are all about. Anywhere in our patch will do, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, rural or semi-rural in the longer daylight evenings, night street races later in the year. Bit of blunder setting up Barnwood yesterday - turned out to be a scatter course, rather than a Score - so you had to visit every control, and no one did! The problem has been sorted out, a new version of the course published, and everyone's results corrected, and it'll be this one that is available to download in future, not the old one. This does however prompt me to make better of use of the facilities made available in MapRun 7 to facilitate course publication, but that means you have to be on MapRun 7 even to run the course. So from the next race - Stonehouse - onwards, there will be a minimum MapRun App level set for each event - MapRun 7 or later, and the App wont let you run if on a back level. A quick check of recent results suggests almost everyone is on MapRun 7 now, but it's worth checking, and installing v7 - just called MapRun - in place of Maprun6, if you don't have it already. ...
