League 2 Results

After planning the first race in the winter series Tom Cochrane has taken up his familiar position at the top of the leader board at race 2, planned by Steve Lee in the more westerly parts of Stroud, and very well received by everyone. Paul Gebbett would have run Tom a close race, but for 50 time penalties. Spot prizes went to Claire Carpenter, for her first maprun, and indeed first orienteering race for many years, Tom for being first to one of the two ribbon-bedecked controls (no one got the other!), and Hannah Bradley for finishing closest to but under the 60 minute deadline. Ironically Hannah’s course refused not only to upload, but to export from her phone at all, so our evidence was looking at the result on the phone, and she doesn’t currently appear in the results. She finished dead on 60 minutes, though, so pretty good planning.

The next race is in central Gloucester on Thursday 20 December. Look out for details shortly.
