Painswick 2021

Painswick is a delightful little maze of small roads and alleyways, with a broad ring of surrounding countryside footpaths. It sits on a hill, with deep valleys East and West, and a full score, if it could be achieved, which is felt to be unlikely, would necessitate down into both and back up again. So a physical course, but a very good test of your ability to pick the highest scoring route, and judge your ability to cover the distance required in the time allowed.

Parkingis in Stamages Lane Car Park, GL6 6UZ, towards the lower end of the town, and just off the main road. It's normally Pay and Display, but may not be if you go over there soon - Spring/Summer 2021. There are toilets in the car park, but they, too, are currently (May 2021) closed.

The start and finish are in the top right corner of the car park, on the upper level, looking up the hill from the car park entrance.
